Often a highly intricate game with lots of subtle moves, a traditional Chess game can result in many thousands of combinations that all influence which way the game will play out. The game is considered to be a balance between strategy and tactics, of which the two play out perfectly hand-in-hand. Strategy is used to plan long term goals and ultimately set up the pieces into the positions from which they will eventually form their attack.
