Music Is Art Crafted By The Artist

The Hip Hop Nation   has been  through some drastic  changes within  the past 10   years. Hip Hop M.C’s   have been convinced that the full general population  likes   to hear catchy  jingles. Companies   aren’t signing a M.C.  with lyrical   ability     anymore,   Record Labels     are looking  for the next dancing crave. It seems like the   labels     want there artist  to imitate   everybody   else,  as long as it sells  . Let’s be veracious,  rappers   rap to make some form of  money , but this continuous flow of pop and dance songs are getting out of hand . It has gotten to the point where I don’t play my receiving set anymore. It’s time  to get back to the real Hip Hop music . The music where you get excited when you hear a hot   verse, not a dope  beat.  Decent     beat+whack lyrics= A Hit, but cool beat+tight lyrics=no recognition. What has happened to the music I use to love?

Where is the poetry in rap  ? Why does all rap  music sound the same now? Will Hip Hop  ever be the  way it was  ? All these questions will remain unanswered until  rappers    find the love for their craftsmanship. Everybody can rap, lyrics are anything that rhymes.Everybody can’t be an  M.C. , you have to separate those two in there own genre . You have your rappers  and  those who are an emcee  . there is a difference . Ex. Artist that repeats himself on every track he does, would be considered a rapper. An artist that recreates himself on every track will be considered an Emcee. Emcee are able to position words together in a way a rapper can’t. Reciting lyrics is an emcee’s craft, but it’s a rappers job. I feel that in the near future Hip Hop will rule again. It’s either that or record sales will continue to fall and sooner or later cease to exist. The only rappers that will be fashioning the big money is the ones with accomplished names already.Their are a  couple artist out there that still bring true Hip Hop flavor to the industry. Ex.Kurty Durty is what I call an Emcee. Check him out at the links below.
