Whether or not you should buy an acoustic guitar as opposed to an electric guitar is dependent on a number of factors, one of the most obvious being price. If you are on a tight budget you will get a better acoustic guitar for your money than electric, mainly because you have to retain some of your budget for the amplifier. However, that apart, there are pros and cons whatever type of guitar you choose to buy.
